ELEMENT SKATEBOARDS PRESENTS ISLAND OF THE AMS AT WAKESTOCK
Damn near every Am in Canada is going to be on Toronto Island this summer competing for $10,000 at Element’s Island of the Ams contest.
The four-day event, presented by Element Skateboards in conjunction with RGX (Right Guard Extreme), Milk, SBC Skateboard Magazine, Eye Weekly and Much Music, is destined to be Canada's biggest one stop skate event of the summer.
CHAD MUSKA, DARRELL STANTON and CHAD TIM TIM from the Element pro team will be in attendance for demos and autograph sessions on Saturday and Sunday.
Over $1,000 will be given away over three days at the Milk Mini-Ramp Best Trick Contests. Bring your skate, cause the RGX Skatepark and the Milk Mini will be open to the public to skate whenever a contest isn’t going down.
The Skate Vendor Village is going to feature deals on skate shoes, apparel, decks and hardware. Also, you can look forward to winning prizes at the Skate Midway—all sorts of carnival games will be there for the kids to enjoy for just a $1 a try, with 50 per cent of the proceeds donated to cancer research thanks to the good folks over at Skate4Cancer.
Nearby you can check out the Indy Band Skate Stage presented by Much Loud, featuring Protest The Hero, Ten Second Epic, Brassmunk, Joell Ortiz, Shad K, Black Lungs, I Hate Sally, The Flatliners, Fucked Up, The End, Tru-Paz, Machete Avenue, Crush Luther and These Silhouettes.
