OAKLEY POOL JAM - BIGGEST IN WAKEBOARDING!Wakestock's Oakley Pool continues to raise the bar and set the standard as the grand-daddy of all wake winch pools. Almost doubling in size from last year's groundbreaking pool and rail park, this year's Oakley Pool features three expanded pools and two all new rail sets, covering 400 feet of real estate. The first rail set features a 20 foot high transfer over a 14 stair set with dual entry rails for respective regular and goofy foot riders. The second rail set features a massive 70 foot long funbox with multiple lines.
Designed by Pat Panakos of The Projects, with the assistance of Canadian rail build guru Jimmy Brace, input from SBC Wakeboard Editor Adam Levitt and Wakestock Build Director Todd Elsley, and the Oakley International Wakeboard and Wakeskate Team, the Oakley Pool took over two weeks to build by a full time crew. Last year's Oakley Pool garnered Reed Hansen the Best Wakeskate Trick of the Year. Riders, photographers and filmers can't wait to see where the world's best take it this year. All the wakeboard and wakeskate rail masters are here at Wakestock to battle it out for best trick fame and fortune. With Parks Bonifay, Keith Lidberg, Danny Harf, JD Webb, Shane Bonifay leading the charge on the wakeboard side, and Aaron Rathy, Brian Grubb, Reed Hansen and George Daniels on the wakeskate side, it's sure to be an epic weekend of rail pool innovation and progression. Oakley has a full movie production crew led by Justin Stephens here at Wakestock filming the O-Pool for their upcoming PUSH PROCESS release. The Oakley Pool Jam is one of four pro wakeboard events at Wakestock 2007. The Billabong Pro Railslide, Malibu Expression Session and Billabong Pro Wakeskate all include use of the most technical in-water rail course ever assembled including two massive 70 footers among the five custom-built posted rails.
