The Wakestock Amateur Championship is Canada's largest grassroots wakeboarding and wakeskating event and a qualifier for the Wakestock WWA Pro World Series (minimum of top 2 wakeboard ams and wakeskate ams from the Advanced division qualify). The Wakestock Amateur Championship is open to all ages from 6 to 60+ and all skill levels including Novice, Intermediate and Advanced. The trick list is not a mandatory list for each division but should be used as a guide for which division you would like to compete in.
NOVICE WAKEBOARD TRICKS
Ride w/ one hand on handle (5 seconds): Ride one handed for 5 seconds.
Cross both wakes: Cross both wakes.
Wave to boat judge: Wave to the boat judge.
Crouch down and touch water: Crouch down and touch the water.
Surf the wake: Turns up and down on boat wake (minimum 3 turns).
Air (1 wake): Rider uses wake to get board in the air, off water.
Ollie: Getting air without using a wake.
Surface 180: Board changes direction (back-front/front-back).
Sideslide: Board slides sideways on the water (1 second minimum).
Surface 360: Board rotates 360 degrees on the surface of the water.
Lipslide: Rider slides sideways on the crest of wake (1 second minimum) the wake.
Backscratcher: Riders gets air and outs board 90 degrees to water behind rider.
Off the wake 180: Rider uses boat wake (no air) to change direction.
Air 180 (1 wake): Rider uses wake to get into air and then changes direction.
W2W (Wake-to-wake) Heelside Air: Heelside air clearing both wakes.
Ollie 180: Change direction outside wake by hopping into the air.
Half Cab (1 wake): Rider uses wake to get into air and then changes direction backwards to forwards.
Toeside W2W Air: Toeside air, clearing both wakes.
Ole: Board rotates 360 degrees on the surface of the water with a handle rotation over the head.
INTERMEDIATE WAKEBOARD TRICKS
Heelside W2W air w/ grab: Heelside air with any grab on board, either hand.
Toeside W2W air w/ grab: Toeside air with any grab on board, either hand.
W2W Tailbone: Straighten (bone) out back leg.
W2W Nosebone: Straighten (bone) out front leg.
HS or TS W2W 180: Heelside or toeside approach, rotating 180 degree spin, frontside or backside.
W2W Indy: Rear hand, toeside grab between legs.
W2W Shifty: Board rotates 90 degrees and back.
W2W Stiffy: Bone out both legs in front of rider.
HS or TS W2W 180 w grab: Heelside or toeside approach, rotating 180 degree spin, frontside or backside while grabbing board.
HS or TS W2W Half Cab: Air 180, backwards to forwards.
W2W Roast Beef: Rear hand heelside grab, between feet through the legs.
W2W H/S Frontside 360: Heelside approach, fowarding rotating 360 degree spin.
W2W H/S Backside 360: Heelside approach, blind rotating 360 degree spin.
W2W T/S Frontside 360: Toeside approach, fowarding rotating 360 degree spin.
H/S or T/S Back Roll: Back Roll.
Front Roll: Toeside Front Roll.
Tantrum: Heelside Backflip, board flipping directly over head.
Scarecrow: Toeside front roll-to-revert.
Air Raley: Starting heelside, rider goes into air and raises board above the body (pushing the board up - inverted).
ADVANCED WAKEBOARD TRICKS
HS or TS 540: Heelside or toeside approach, rotating 540 degree spin, frontside or backside.
Switch BackRoll: Fakie-to-fakie back roll
H/S or T/S Roll-to-Revert: Back roll-to-fakie landing
Tantrum-to-fakie: Tantrum with a fakie landing
Front Flip: Heelside front flipRider uses wake to get air and flips forward, board over head
Front Flip-to-Fakie: Front flip with a frontside 180 spin to fakie landing
Half Cab Front Flip: Front flip with fakie approach/front landing
Switch Front Flip: Front flip with fakie approach/fakie landing
TS Frontside 720: Toeside approach, fowarding rotating 720 degree spin
Tootsie Roll: Front roll with blind 180
Roll to Blind: Heelside Backroll with a blind 180
Bel Air: Tantrum without using the wake for air
Air Krypt: Air Raley with 180 degree turn, landing switch
Hoochie Glide: Air Raley with method grab (heelside grab)
T/S Air Raley: Starting toeside, rider goes into air and raises board above the body (pushing the board up - inverted)
Blind Judge: H/S Raley to Blindside 180
Whirlybird: Tantrum Mobius with overhead handle pass
Back Mobe: Heelside Backroll with a 360 handle pass
Crow Mobe: Toeside front roll-to-revert Mobius
Skeezer: Switchstance Crow Mobe
Pete Rose: Toeside backroll with a 360 degree rotation
S-Bend: Heelside air raley w/360 body rotation while extended
Moby Dick: Tantrum with a backside 360 handlepass
KGB, wrapped or handlepass: Heelside Back roll with 360 backside rotation.
